This event also aims to build awareness about Psoriasis, a serious inflammatory, non-communicable autoimmune disease that has no known cause and cure, as it carries severe physical, mental and socio-economic burden that affects an estimated 1 to 2 million of the Philippine population. These have been going on for generations and it is not enough that we remain silent. They need to be empowered and be connected with one another in order to alleviate their condition. This inspired the Psoriasis Philippines (PsorPhil)to take the lead in the fight against discrimination through various programs and establishing the PsorPhil Resource Center. Our hope is that one day, no psoriasis sufferer will be discriminated due to his/her condition. We can only achieve this through proper awareness and information dissemination.

Journey for Hope: Run for Psoriasis is set on May 20, 2012 to be held at Bonifacio Global City. Event categories are 3K, 5K, 10K and 16K with registration fees of P450, P550, P650 and P800 respectively.
